This painting was another where I’d had a large canvas sitting around just waiting for something to paint. I was so pleased with the way my first painting of the MacLaughlin River turned out that I thought I’d give it a go on a much larger scale.
I haven’t tried to copy the original exactly, but many of the features of the first one have reappeared in this one, with some slight modifications. I really love the smaller one, but I’m pretty happy with the way this one has turned out too.
