MYCENA TOADSTOOLS ON A LOG, SHERBROOKE FOREST

With 2020’s Coronavirus lockdowns continuing into June, I was looking through my old photographs for something more to paint, and I decided to check out a photo session from a walk in Sherbrooke Forest in the Dandenong Ranges.

Initially I’d thought to paint a forest scene, however when I stumbled across a photograph of some tiny Mycena toadstools growing on a fallen log, I remembered back to my previous Fly Agaric painting and thought I’d give it a try.
